I say that I love to explore ideas, but I don’t know what that means.
I want to do a trace down. I want to trace how I got to the point of spouting stuff like “I love exploring ideas.” It feels weird and unrealistic. But here goes.

Let’s begin with human nature. Human nature is interesting. Human nature is worth exploring. Doesn’t it just fascinate you how humans think and behave? It fascinates me. It just bothers me, in a fancy way, how it is possible to study, observe and predict behavior without being able to do much about changing it except in myself. We all share human nature and it makes us more similar than different. We know this but we do not know it. Which brings me to literature.
Literature, in its lifelong definition, is the mirror of life. How else to describe how human beings behave, if not by telling stories, concocting characters, and preaching ideals? The best philosophers are those who pass their philosophy subtly by entertainment. They entertain you primarily, but also give you an idea of how they see the world (brilliant guys). Then let’s move quickly to philosophy.
Philosophy is about trying to make sense of the world. Imagine waking up and finding yourself in a place that you do not understand. I believe your primary objective will be to understand where you are and how to get the best outcome for yourself. But isn’t it telling that we do not treat our current states that way? We are so okay with snoozing around and hoping that perfect accidents will come to make things perfect (what a delusion). Philosophy is necessary to make sense of all we do and all we are. It may not be the hard material sciences, but it has served its purpose as an anchor. It is more important than we regard it. But what about politics?
Politics is all about organising interests. No two humans are the same. This means automatically, we all have different interests. Disorganized interests lead to conflict. How can we minimize conflict and maximize interests? Answer, politics. Be apathetic all you like but politics is a direct extension of human nature. Politics is the biggest scale for observing human nature. All politics have philosophical frameworks. All politics employ literature and art. There is no dodging it. Politics is, and remains, a lousy way for making change. However, politics has a psychology.
Psychology is the science committed to unveiling the human mind. Be it Freudian or Jungian psychology, it is all an attempt to explain why this and why that. Nothing too deep. We predict so that we can control. We find, that we may innovate. But at this point, the intersection is clear. Human nature is the mother. Every other thing is an offspring.
So, welcome to Busyminds. I am just trying to enjoy the best of human nature. That is my simple interest. But I know that whatever your interests are, no one cares about them. No one cares about your interest. And no one should be forced to care about your interests. People care about what you care about because it offers them something. No hard feelings. And let’s not mistake value for money. Money is just a means of measurement. There are other metrics for measuring value. But back to the topic of exploring ideas, there is value to be provided. But I see no greater value than to be a better, more sophisticated human being. The aim is to rise above the ordinary, passive slumber of life. To become the true version of what we are and who God created us to be. Whatever I have been on to for the last twenty months, Busyminds has been worth it. And I say thank you.
Finally, what are ideas? I will go with the pragmatic theory of truth that says ideas are plans of action. That says that the merits of an idea is reducible to its real-life application. So, I love to explore the basis of human reality and how we can get the best of it and improve ourselves. Some of these ideas are not hard facts as others. But they are not less relevant. I want to be able to relate with the things that count even if they cannot be measured. I want us all to not see the ability to measure and quantify as the only type of brilliance. It is not. There are many other things that defy logic but it is the reason the world goes round.
This is Busyminds and I was just thinking. It is time to build a community of advancing doers. We are not changed by what we know. We are changed by what we do. I am no longer interested in changing the world. I am interested in exploring. But by exploring, I am doing.
