We never know until we try.
I have seen different characters from television and a distinct few have happened to catch my eye and tickle my desires. One brilliant moment from looking on Sheldon Lee Cooper (played by Jim Parson) seem to alter what I want to be. The moment I start my pursuit into Sheldon, I am interrupted by Sherlock Holmes (played by both Robert Downey Jr. And Benedict Cumberbatch) who come around, throw a coat on me and beckon that I follow their path.
I will forever applaud actors, movie directors and producers for painting perfect characters that make us want to lose ourselves and become these awesome humans beautifying our TV screens. Everywhere and all around, there are many beautiful things and people that make you want to be like them. It takes focus to actually become something or someone.
This little picture captured above in the frame of my mind makes it totally acceptable and justifiable for the Man Jesus Christ to say “he that must follow me must deny himself”. In my bid to be the great detective Sherlock Holmes, I probably give up my teenage fashion (if I had one) to pick up suits, coats and a funny hat. In the pursuit of Dr. Cooper, I might just begin taking interest in Star Wars, Star Trek and comic books. In the same vein I am not wrong to give up my old habits and unholy ambitions to follow the Christ after all you must give things up eventually.
We cannot always hold on to something existent to get something new. And no, it doesn’t mean you do not have a life or a purpose or a definition of who you want to be but it could be that who you want to be like already possess traits of who you want to be. It is a hard pill to swallow but whatever the Bible says is always hidden plainly in the philosophy of life and the fabrics of human existence. I believe the Bible and it’s words are truth.
It isn’t your job to condemn and criticize. Instead take your time to understand why people choose their paths and don’t always assume they are dumb.
I present to you one of the things that keeps this mind occupied. See you later!
